More than 100 students were able to participate in the 2020 Georgia Chemistry Olympiad competition before the shelter-in-place began. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, USNCO was able to continue the national exam by administering it electronically. Congratulations to the 13 students from the Georgia local section who qualified to take the 2020 USNCO National Chemistry Olympiad exam and to their high school chemistry teachers. Five students from our section scored within the top 150 students nationally, and Ridings Bald earned one of the top twenty national scores for the second year in a row. Special thanks to Glen Meades for helping to proctor the local and national exams!
