The Minority Affairs Committee of the Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society is pleased to announce two awards for high school seniors.

The 2023 Percy Julian Award will be given to two high school seniors (one male and one female) in recognition of scholastic achievement and leadership ability. Each recipient will receive a $1000 book scholarship and a one-year (student) membership in ACS.

The 2023 St. Elmo Brady Award will be given to two high school seniors (one male and one female) in recognition of the goal of becoming a first-generation college student, their scholastic journey, personal integrity, and perseverance. The recipients will receive a $1000 book scholarship and a one-year (student) membership in ACS.

The deadline for applications for either award is April 12, 2023. Award recipients will be notified by May 1, 2023. Awards will be presented at the ACS Georgia Section meeting which will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Please submit application and supporting materials by email to Dr. Pamela Leggett-Robinson.
